Goods In

Turn truck arrivals into smooth starts.

Orchestrate your goods in from dock booking to verification and directed putaway. Receipts run on rails. Quality checks are built in. Stock flows to the right place without admin drag.

Less manual sorting.

Built-in quality checks.

Automatic putaway.

The old way vs Clarus.

Spreadsheets got you here. They won't get you further.

Before

Receipts were rekeyed manually, causing delays at the start of the day

Quality checks depended on someone remembering to look

Putaway decisions were made on the fly, wherever there was space

Buyers and transport chased calls for status updates

After

Receipts from POs/ASNs auto-generate unload, check and putaway tasks

Mandatory checks at scan catch damage, temperature and expiry issues

Directed Putaway sends stock to the right slot, or straight to cross-dock

Statuses update live, planned to cross-docked, one truth for everyone

How it works.

Start seeing results straight away.

Status tracker for receipt rec-4410 showing four stages — arrived, checked, put away, and cross-docked — with put away marked complete.

Automation that replaces manual sorting.

Raise receipts from POs or ASNs and let the system generate unload, check, and putaway tasks in one guided flow. Less rekeying. Fewer delays. More predictable starts.

Quality secured at the door.

Apply mandatory checks by supplier, SKU, or customer standard. Damage, temperature, batch and expiry, and tolerance thresholds are enforced at scan. Non-conformances route to quarantine with proof.

Auto-direct to the right location.

Directed Putaway selects slots by size, weight, velocity, proximity, and compliance rules. Non-storage items move directly from goods in to dispatch via cross-dock to protect space and time.

Live visibility, fewer calls.

Statuses change as events happen.. planned, arrived, checked, put away, cross-docked. Buyers, transport, and customer service see one truth and act faster.

Take the friction out of goods in. Work smarter.

When inbound work lives on paper, bottlenecks follow. Clarus aligns POs, ASNs, and bay slots so the right team meets the right load with the right plan. Scanner-led receiving captures quantities, lots, expiries, and variance in real time. Exceptions route to hold with photos and reason codes. Directed Putaway moves product straight to optimal, compliant locations (or straight to cross-dock) so aisles stay clear and the rest of the day keeps pace.

QUESTIONS BUYERS ACTUALLY ASK.

Frequently asked questions

How do suppliers and carriers book dock time?

Open slots by bay and time in the booking diary. Suppliers attach ASNs so your team knows what’s coming. Changes update instantly for all authorised users.

Can we enforce different QC by product or customer?

Yes. Create QC templates with required steps (photos, lot and expiry, tolerance rules) per SKU, supplier, or account. Fails route to quarantine with full traceability.

What if we need to cross-dock instead of store?

Mark items or orders as cross-dock. After receipt validation, Clarus raises staging tasks to the outbound lane and links them to the sales order. Lead time shrinks and staging stays tidy.

How are exceptions handled without stalling the bay?

Variances trigger clear next actions (adjust, rework, quarantine, or reject) with reason codes and optional photos. Supervisors approve in-app so unloading continues while governance stays tight.

We don’t always get ASNs. Can we still move fast?

Absolutely. Create receipts from POs or ad-hoc, scan as you unload, and let Directed Putaway guide storage. Customers can still upload orders by CSV or key manually. Allocation and paperwork are one click.

What evidence do we get for audits and finance?

Every action carries user, timestamp, device, and location. Export receipts, QC results, and movement history to Excel or via API. You can prove what arrived, what was held, and where it went—without a paper chase.
